The goal is to develop a hydrogen energy ecosystem in Vietnam based on renewable energy, including production, storage, transportation, distribution, and domestic use and export, with a synchronous and modern infrastructure, to contribute to ensuring energy security, achieving national goals on climate change, green growth, and the net-zero emission target by 2050 according to Vietnam's roadmap and commitments in the sustainable energy transition, promoting fairness and justice.
At the conference, the Ministry of Industry and Trade called on ministries, sectors, and localities to focus on some key and urgent tasks, such as:
- Researching, proposing, developing, and amending relevant legal documents, policies, and mechanisms, especially policies to encourage the use of hydrogen fuel for vehicles, equipment, and green transport infrastructure.
